Maths
We have been learning so much about graphs and the different types there are. Some of us investigated other students around the school and have posted the findings through a range of graphs which are up on the classroom walls. Other students investigated the flight of paper planes and used these investigations to make their own paper planes and produce different scatter graphs. It's been a lot of fun in maths!
Reading
With all those boring probes out of the way we have been able to get back into our literature circles, with some of our groups even finishing their books! Now's the time to summarise what we read and decide what we think the author did right and how they could possibly have improved the book. We have also finished our chapter chat book, 'Ms Bixby's Last Day' and although it was a sad ending to the story it was an awesome book to read.
Library - Remember we have changed our library day to Tuesday from 11.20 - 12.00.
Writing
With all the choices in our writing we have been able to produce some incredible pieces! We are learning how to make our stories come alive and capture the reader. This week it is all about animals and we will be producing animal reports. These are going to include a lot of facts and descriptive words, so the reader will really know about the chosen animal.
Inquiry
Each day we investigate our science. So each day we come closer and closer to answering our questions. Sometimes we might not always get the result we were expecting but this does not mean we aren't learning. The experiments can be seen all over the classrooms and the boards are slowly coming together. We can't wait to show you all our experiments and the hypothesis that come with them. It will be an incredible day where everyone will be able to have their scientific inquires on display.
